Original work
All games, art, code, and writing on New.gg are made in-house. No clones, no ripped assets.
A small, original games site
New.gg is an independent browser games portal. Everything on the site is original work: the games, the art, the level layouts, the writing, and the code. We are not a re-skin of an existing portal and we do not host third-party game embeds. If a game is on this site, we built it. That single rule shapes how we work, how often we ship, and what kinds of games we publish.
What you can play right now
The current lineup covers five different styles of quick browser game. Daily Grid Logic is a number-clue puzzle that refreshes once a day, with three difficulty sizes and an unlimited practice mode for when one puzzle is not enough. Block Merge Arena is a tile placement game where you drop numbered shapes on an eight by eight board, clear full lines, and merge touching numbers to push your score higher. Tiny Truck Trials is a physics driving game with thirty short tracks; you steer a small truck with simple controls and try to reach the finish without flipping. Trap Dash is a short-level platformer where every stage hides a few surprise traps that look fair until they are not. Ragdoll Drop Lab is a placement puzzle where you set up bounce pads, ramps, fans and bumpers, then drop a ragdoll and hope your plan was good enough to land in the target zone.
Built for short sessions
Browser games live or die on how fast they start. We aim for two seconds from tap to playable on a normal phone, and we try to keep every level short enough to finish during a coffee break. Daily Grid Logic gives you one puzzle a day, on purpose, so you can build a quiet streak instead of a habit. Block Merge Arena and the action games are open-ended and save progress automatically, so you can stop at any time and pick up later from the same device.
Mobile first, keyboard friendly
We start every game on a phone. That means large tap targets, on-screen controls that do not cover the action, and game canvases that scale to the screen instead of the other way around. On a laptop or desktop the same games use keyboard input, with arrow keys, space, and WASD covering the controls you would expect. There is no fork between the mobile and desktop versions of a game; they share one code base and one set of levels.
Original art and original rules
The art on New.gg is simple on purpose. Clear shapes, strong colors, and readable layouts beat fancy detail when you have one second to understand the screen. We avoid copying the name, look, or rules of any specific existing game. If a game style is popular elsewhere we take the genre as a starting point and design our own mechanics, our own scoring, and our own level set. That is the whole point of an original portal.
Privacy and storage
New.gg does not ask you to sign up to play. Your scores, daily streak, best times, and theme preference are saved in your browser using localStorage on the device you played on. Clearing your browser data clears your progress. We do not move that data to a server. If you want the legal version, the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy have the full details.
How we pick what to build next
We watch what people search for on browser game sites and pick categories that have a clear shape: daily puzzles, block puzzles, physics driving, platformers with a twist, and skill or ragdoll games. Then we design a small original take on the genre instead of a clone of any one popular title. If a game proves fun we add levels, modes, and quality of life features like undo, hints, and level select. If it is not fun we throw it away and try something else.
FAQ
Is New.gg free?
Yes. Every game on the site is free to play in your browser, with no account required and no payment.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The games are HTML5 and run inside your browser on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. You don't need an app store, a plugin, or a download.
Will my progress sync between devices?
Not yet. Progress is stored locally on each device. We may add optional cloud save later, but it will always be optional and clearly opt-in.
Are the games safe for kids?
The current games are family friendly. There is no gambling, no real-money mechanics, and no chat. Ragdoll Drop Lab uses cartoon physics with no blood or gore.
How often do new games arrive?
We aim to add or significantly update a game every few weeks. Watch the New games page for the latest.
